Dominus Vobiscum, pilgrims!

They say that you should never judge a book by its cover. There are times that you have to beg to differ. This just happens to be one of those instances. When I was asked whether I’d like to cover the group ‘Rudimental‘, I initially had no idea who they were, and the impression I always have of drum and bass is of djs on mixing desks spewing out audio cacophony. That said, it would be a new kind of gig that I would see so I decided to check it out. Am I glad I did. To be honest, anything I write here will not give the gig justice, so I recommend you ‘Youtube’ one of their acts, and you’ll get the gist. And do you know what: despite the constant strobbing of blue lights; a very narrow photo-pit that limited movement; all the musicians and performers spread out, this just happened to be one of the very rare gigs that happened to cancel out any challenges that I had to face as a photographer. They were that good!
