High salutations to my fellow pilgrims! In years gone by, the only films the State Broadcasters beamed to the masses back in my region of Nigeria were either badly dubbed ‘Chinese Movies ‘ from the Shaw Brothers or Bollywood films with no subtitles. There were two notable stars, namely Amitabh Bachan and Dharam Singh Deol (or popularly known by his legions of fans Dharmendra). No one ever wanted to emulate Amjad Khan, famous for his role as the uber-baddie ‘Gabbar Singh. You were either one or the other of the duo in the masala hit, ‘Sholay‘. Fast forward nearly thirty years later, I get the chance to meet the legendary Dharmendra with his sons Sonny and Bobby Deol promoting their new movie, ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana 2‘
