Wotcha, Pilgrims!
London Jazz Festival 2011 has started, and I had less than 10 minutes to shoot tabla maestro Zakir Hussain ji at the Royal Festival Hall. I don’t know how true this is, but apparently Zakir ji does not like photographers disturbing him during his show, and who am I to try that theory out? Suffice to say that I took a couple of shots right from the back because it was a quiet gig at the start of the show. Here’s one I made earlier:
