Hello, Pilgrims!
It’s been an interesting weekend of Music at the Southbank Centre, celebrating Women of the World, with Annie Lennox headlining at the Royal Festival Hall on Friday Night. The following evening was the turn of Senegalese musician Baaba Maal, celebrating the female voice with a host of musical talent from Africa and the UK that included Eska, Speech Debelle and VV Brown. With this gig having a strong African influence, what were the odds that people were going to remain seated for the whole show? 🙂

All of the musicians were great, but the one that really, really, really got my attention was Gabonese singer, Annie Flore Batchiellilys. I mean, talk about singing from the heart:
Have a great and blessed week, Pilgrims. God Bless!
