If there’s one habit that we in the West have perfected as a skillful art, it’s of ‘Keeping your Head down‘, and I mean, literally. What with the leaps and bounds of the advancement in modern technology, people are always staring down at their ‘gizmowhatchamecallit‘ contraptions either texting or reading or playing games while walking. I’ve not only seen people ram into other people, but also into walls and there was this one time someone nearly got run over by oncoming traffic, just because she was busy texting/reading/playing a game. Sheesh: I know we’d like to multi-task and all, but nothing stops you from just looking where you’re going. I thought it was bad when people just used to read newspapers. Now, it’s all heads down! Marvel at our dependency on Modern technology within the next clip:

You see where I’m going with this? Words of warning, though: ‘Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.‘-1 Corinthians 10:12

  1. Yea it’s gotten really bad. During a recent visit to my alma mater a girl nearly collided with me while crossing the street because she refused to put down her iPhone.
