Another night & another really good gig of good music. Just an hour earlier I was at the Royal Festival hall snapping Maria Bethâni, and now it was ‘Toots & the Maytals’ at the Barbican.  I’m not even a Reggae or Ska fan, but you have to give musical credit is where credit is due.

It’s rare to ever see the whole of the auditorium up on their feet at the Barbican and eating out of the palm of your musical hand. Last time I saw a similar situation was for Seun Kuti’s gig 3 years ago.  Which begs the question: how do you give a standing ovation to a group when everyone is dancing and singing along? Think about it…
