The Barbican played host to London Jazz group The Portico Quartet yesterday night. With Jack Wyllie on soprano and alto saxophone, Duncan Bellamy playing drums, Milo Fitzpatrick plucking at double bass, and finally Nick Mulvey playing hang and percussion:
What should have been an interesting gig was marred by a young teenage upstart who just keep on talking and talking in the audience where I was positioned. Sheesh! If there was ever a moment you wish you could magically zip a person’s mouth up, it would have been then!
