Across the UK, there will be thousands of people waking up to the bitter cold and the inevitable reality that it’s time to go back to work after probably a very long holiday break.  Every 10,000th  person will be using all their willpower to get out of warm duvet beds this morning and hating the prospect of what to expect & encounter at the office, not to mention the ‘happy faces’ on the tube.  I can assure you that before the end of the day, you’d probably hear the phrase ‘I hate Mondays!‘ probably about 30-50 times (depending on how many people you work with!).  No, it’s not the Mondays that you hate, but what you have to wake up to on said Monday. Not to come across as preachy, but here’s a quote that may inspire you for a season: ‘The sluggard will not plow by the reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in the harvest, and have nothing’. Proverbs 20:4

As for me, it’s back to Pandora’s box of imagery.  I can tell you right now that half of what I’ll be doing today is trying to figure out what I ought to be doing today, which would include negotiating, being diplomatic, and most importantly, opening my eyes and getting the right image for the job and convincing (or in some instances, cajoling) the powers that be (i.e. editors!) to run with it.  Let’s not also forget that it’s the new season for music gigs, so sooner or later, it’s back in the mosh pit taking pictures, so sooner or later, calls have to be made procuring photopasses and such.  Ah, joy of joys. 🙂

You know what: I really don’t know how today’s going to go; Ask me tomorrow….

Vobiscum, pilgrims!
