Thanks to a couple of photographic buffoons who have now  destroyed a  hard-built working relationship with The Barbican and how we take pictures of acts, photographers now have to shoot from the very back of the auditorium. It was challenging enough take pictures in the first place, but now it’s nearly impossible.  Oh, well.

Speaking of the Barbican, I went to cover Jerry Dammers and his tribute to Sun Ra. If you’ve never heard of Sun Ra’s stuff, let’s just say it’s like going on an acid trip without taking the drugs.  So, since I’m not an expert, have a look at what the reviewers say about the performance.

Here are some shots I managed to get with the 70-200 F2.8 Lens. I think I need a bigger one:

  1. Amazing shots!
What a pain about Barbican’s decision. They make it harder for the photographers. It is such a shame that a show can’t be properly captured sometimes.
I have been slow in my browsing around here. 🙂
