I thought I should start the Monday off with showcasing a couple of images that you probably will never get to see, but you have heard the story about it and have your views about it. ***All the images in this blog are sourced directly from various Picture Desks and all copyright belongs directly to them, where accredited.***
It seems that rarely a day goes by without some news warning about a species being endangered. If it’s not the lowly field mouse one day, it’s the ‘Oboungo-wogla’ bird of prey. ( I just made that one up!) We therefore see concerned people doing their best to highlight the plight of animals and what we can do remedy the situation. It’s all with good intentions. I mean, people would go to any length to make a point:

But to go butt-naked and laced with fake blood?!?!? Ah-ah.. what’s wrong with using placards? And not that I have anything against PETA, (So long as they don’t even come near me and try and convert me into a vegetarian!) but would these same guys pull of this same stunt to highlight certain plights in war-zones?
Speaking of War-zones, here’s a picture from the ongoing situation in Kenya:

Whenever I see images coming out from conflict zones, especially Africa, my heart is always saddened. It’s a regular occurrence to have some form of political/ethnic clash take place. Although many still claim that this is one of the damaging legacies of colonialism, I still believe that a miracle needs to take place.
And finally, this image is clear proof that having money doesn’t necessarily mean you have taste, class or even finess:

A golden dummy?!?!? Are you kidding me? How’s a baby supposed to chew or suck on that??!?! The really sad thing is that people would actually pay for this, only for it to probably get nicked by the nanny. 🙂
Anyway, back to work….
